In an era where diverse dietary needs, from vegan and gluten-free to low FODMAP, are increasingly prevalent, Comestibles impressed us with their adaptability. The team, led by Chef Duncan, crafted an exquisite three-course meal that catered seamlessly to the varied dietary requirements of our team. This dedication to inclusivity and the creation of delicious meals tailored to diverse dietary and allergy needs truly stood out as a testament to Comestibles’ exceptional approach.
Customisation:
Comestibles’ flexibility shines through in their ability to tailor menus to suit any event style. Whether it’s a formal sit-down affair, a canapé-style gathering, or a more casual platter-based event, they customise their offerings to meet the unique needs of each occasion.
Waste Management Practices:
A noteworthy takeaway from our visit was the discussion on waste management practices. Comestibles actively addresses the prevalent issues of domestic waste and food insecurity in Australia. At the conclusion of each function, all clean and unserved food is donated to OzHarvest. Other organisations to explore for food rescue efforts include Second Bite and Foodbank. With their chefs preparing food six days a week, Comestibles is committed to and promotes portion control, actively participating in the broader movement towards responsible waste management.
