Just like that, the countdown is on for the most anticipated festivity on everyone’s calendars. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” is on repeat and the Christmas parties are filling our calendars. As we near to the end of an incredible year and brace ourselves for an exciting 2023, come with us as we reflect on our favourite moments and milestones in 2022.
Inspiring Stories, a Whole Lot of Networking and WA Footy Legends
One of our favourite events this year was the WorkCover WA Conference. The event attracted close to 500 delegates for an engaging conference at Optus Stadium. The day was filled with insightful stories from keynote speakers, including Matina Jewell, Marion Fulker and Julian Pace. The star power included WA Legends Josh Kennedy and David Mundy as they chatted with our delegates. The musical talents of Blake and Rick from Proof the Band, one of our most-loved suppliers, serenaded guests as they networked over drinks and canapes. We were thrilled to bring WorkCover WA’s vision to life for their 40-year anniversary.

A Big Few Days with the Team
The WAFES Conference was a big one for the team. Welcoming over 600 volunteers and staff from across the State for an engaging conference. The event concluded with a Gala Dinner to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of volunteers, DFES staff and personnel across Western Australia.
A Night to Remember
One of our most loved moments from this year was the MEDBALL at Crown Perth. The Gala Ball commenced with a beautiful contemporary dance performance by the Dance Collective, featuring mesmerising audio-visual production thanks to Brightside Live Events. The night continued to turn heads with Champagne Duo entertaining guests over dinner and DJ Wildflower and GLAM Australia keeping the energy high on the dance floor with their upbeat performance. MEDBALL was a night to remember!

New Faces
As we farewelled some E&C Co. legends, we welcomed two new Event Managers, Indah McLeod and Justine Peovitis. Both have been wonderful additions to our team and absolute powerhouses in the office and onsite.
Other Special Memories
Amongst our busiest time of the year, we were thrilled to be part of Indonesia Connect 2022 at Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre, working with the Department of Jobs, Tourism and Science and Innovation. Guests enjoyed a custom menu over lunch inspired by the flavours of Indonesia and heard from a range of speakers including the Premier. The day concluded with a cocktail event and Gamelan Performance.
We had the privilege of bringing to life once again the Waste and Recycle Conference hosted by the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR), Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER), and Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA). It was an absolute pleasure supporting this event and hearing from organisations paving the industry forward. One of our highlights was meeting and hearing from Dr Karl Kruszelnicki. We also got a few photos with Dr Karl which are one for the books!
